Didn’t think this was possible, but it is!
Mix non-dairy milk, nutritional yeast, and a little GF starch or egg replacer in a bowl. Put gluten-free bread crumbs in a separate bowl.
Cut tofu into rectangles like above (or any shape, but I recommend larger rectangles). Using one hand, dip a tofu piece into the milk mixture. Using your other hand, roll it or dip each side in the bread crumbs. Place in oil in pan to be cooked.
Soooo yes the breading can fall off a bit during, but overall it is SO DELICIOUS. I recommend pairing with you most sinful dipping sauce (maybe honey mustard is your weakness, or use sweet and sour. I recommend San-J‘s Orange Sauce, Szechuan, or Sweet & Tangy)
